Participate in a Charity Event

Ive actually crossed this someday plan off my list already. In 2008, some friends and I decided to form a team and participate in the Polar Plunge. The Polar Plunge is an event that aims to raise money for the Special Olympics, in which nearly 10,000 people with cognitive disabilities participate. According to the Special Olympics Wisconsin web page, Wisconsin plungers have raised over 8 million dollars in the past 11 years! Participants in the Polar Plunge jump into the freezing river in the winter. Coordinators of this event have to cut a large hole in the ice for the event. I really enjoyed participating in this event because even though it was extremely cold and I couldn't feel my entire body when I got out, it was for a really good cause and it was actually kind of fun.

Be Someones Role Model

There have been many people that I have met who have made a tremendous impact in my life. The decisions that I make in my life are based on things that I have learned from those who I look up to. The person who I look up to most is my older sister Erica. She is very independent and smart. When ever I need advice on something, I usually ask her because I am almost positive that she can help out. When I look at all the people that I look up to, I realize how important these people are to me as role models. Someday I would like to make a difference in someones life and be an important role model to them. Right now, when I make decisions, I always consider my niece Isabel who is one. I love her so much and I want to make sure that I set a good example for her. I want to make sure that she lives a very happy and successful life. If I can be as important in her life as my sister is in mine, I will be very happy. I want my niece to be able to get advice from me about anything and know that no matter what I will always love her.

T in the Park Festival

Someday I would like to attend the "T in the Park Festival" in Scotland. Its this huge outdoor music festival that features popular bands. People who attend this festival bring tents and campers along because according to About.com It is considered to be the biggest camping party in Europe! Also, on the ground there is a fairground, a movie theater, and places to shop. This sounds like so much fun. I want to go!

The Fall

Not all someday plans end up actually happening, some are simply just dreams. Well, my friend Jamii decided to take one of her someday plans and make it a reality. She has always been quite an adventurous person who loves being outdoors. One day she was exploring an underground cave that happened to be the mouth of an undergroud river if you went in a ways. It was located along some cliff so after it had rained for a week straight, Jamii knew that there would be a water fall coming off the other side. Jammi decided that she needed a picture of this waterfall so she started climbing down the side of the cliff. She forgot to take into consideration that since it had just rained the ground was going to be wet and soft. She got about half way down then she lost her footing and fell about 20 yards. Fortunately she fell onto a ledge that had a little tree she could grab onto until she got herself situated. She was pretty bruised and sore but she definitly learned her lesson not to explore alone.

#1 Scuba dive off Australia's Great Barrier Reef

www.flickr.com
The Great Barrier Reef is one of the wonders of the world. I was reading about it on the National Geographic website and apparently it's made up of more that 2,800 separate coral reefs making it the largest in the world! The clear, shallow, and coastal waters are home to many interesting species besides coral including bottle nose dolphins, titan trigger fish, anemone fish, coral trout, cuddle fish, and many more. I would love to go on a cruise that includes scuba diving! The only scary part is that visitors are warned about the dangers of poisonous stone fish, poisonous cone shell, poisonous sea snakes, and stinging jellyfish. I still want to do it.
